Needham Road is a Grade II listed, semi-detached townhouse in the heart of Notting Hill dating back to the 1850s.

Previously empty, this unloved house was split into flats and had remained unoccupied for a number of years.

Externally, the house has a number of traditional features in need of restoration. In particular, a curved bombe balcony with corniced windows and railings, a beautiful rendered channel and banding to the entire ground floor level, and a stuccoed cornice surround to the an original slate mansard roof.

Our clients brief was to restore the property to its former glory, and create a beautiful family home.

A basement was introduced to provide a gym and cinema, with living spaces organised over ground and lower ground floor, opening out onto the landscaped garden beyond, the three upper floors then house five bedrooms and a study.

This is an ongoing project.
